Tour itinerary

Day 1 – The river

The first day consists in riding down the dry riverbed (or with very little water present) of the Cedrino river.

Once we enter the riverbed we can’t leave for the next 6km, and we will face obstacles and technical passages, mostly on stones.

Day 2 – The steep firebreaks

On day 2 we will head to the firebreaks (varying the physical effort required): areas with no trees or vegetation in the middle of the mountains, used to stop fires, which are very frequent in Sardinia.

The firebreaks can reach gradients like those of Erzberg, and to ride them you will need a good technique and a lot of power.

Day 3 – The old trails of the Shepherds

On day 3 (for those who survived the first two days), we will ride on slow and technical trails, forest paths and then face the old road (which is now a stream) which will take us to the “Sos Vettadores” fountain, where you will be able to rest and drink fresh water.

Once our energy levels are back up, we will ride up a steep forest path that will take us up 1000mt to the “Hosta e Turre” area. From here we will ride a few km to the “Iscala e s’arenarju”, an entrance to the Supramonte, where you can admire a breathtaking view of Sardinia.
